The Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FLENUMMETOCCEN) has awarded Spry Methods a task order award for METOC Space Readiness (MSR) System Integration Support. FLENUMMETOCCEN is the Department of Defense’s (DOD) principal operational processing center for automated numerical meteorological and oceanographic (METOC) analyses and predictions. Spry is responsible for administering the existing MSR system and necessary components of the operational Primary Oceanographic Prediction System (POPS) A2 system, and maintaining an integrated HPC system, to include all associated subsystems. This support includes the investigation of relevant systems/subsystems including interconnecting networks, the data flow on the networks, the performance of computers and the overall flow and handling of information across the hardware and software enterprise.
Spry is very pleased to further our support to FNMOC under these two METOC Space Readiness (MSR) System efforts. It is our privilege to be able to participate in the investigation of relevant systems/subsystems including interconnecting networks, the performance of computers and the overall flow and handling of information across the hardware and software enterprise that play such an important role in the future of FLENUMMETOCCEN mission, said Mark Gadomski, senior vice president for Spry Methods C5I operations.
